Narrative closure and “the woman”: the case of Vírgenes y mártires

El artículo analiza dos textos de la colección Vírgenes y mártires. "Letra para salsa y tres sonetos por encargo' de Ana Lydia Vega y "Milagros, Calle Mercurio" de Carmen Lugo Filippi. Se argumenta que los textos "legibles" en el sentido de Barthes son textos abiertos. La resistencia al cierre narrativo, se arguye, pone al lector/lectora en la posición de cuestionar los arreglos" de género en la sociedad y la ética de estos. Se concluye que la posición "mujer" es problemática y, en ultimo análisis, imposible como posición subjetiva.
