El libro publicado bajo la dirección de Roberto Di Stefano y Ana Rosa Cloclet Da Silva representa un significativo aporte en la historia religiosa de Argentina y Brasil. Si bien no se trata de una obra de “historia comparada” como precisan desde un principio los compiladores, estamos ante un avance valioso en esta línea de trabajo. En tal sentido, los estudios reunidos -de historiadores de ambas nacionalidades, provenientes de diversas instituciones y regiones de los dos países, de distintas generaciones, especialistas en períodos varios- ponen en evidencia los puntos de contacto y las divergencias en los procesos religiosos de Brasil y Argentina, a la vez que promueven un intercambio sin dudas fecundo.
