Technical-professional secondary education in Argentina. Policies and everyday school life in times of transformations
Keywords:
technical education, secondary education, educational policy, everyday life, ArgentinaAbstract
In this article we intend to describe some processes and transformations of the last decades in technical secondary education in Argentina, paying particular attention to national and local educational policies oriented to this modality (during the 1990s to the present) and its intersection with the specific history of a technical-professional high school in the city of Rosario (Santa Fé, Argentina).
This work is part of a broader research process, carried out between 2014 and 2019, from a socio-nthropological approach that recovers the ethnographic tradition of Anthropology from a critical perspective, an approach that gives significance to the analysis of everyday life from a point of view that “incorporates the historical perspective in everyday life by combining the impact that - at this scale - the general history can have” (Achilli, 2005, p. 21).
