Debates y definiciones en el Primer Consejo Académico de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas: aproximaciones a una agenda de transición

Abstract

The article aims to reconstruct the agenda of the Academic Council in the transitions’s framework from the Provincial Institute of Secondary Teachers to the Faculty of Human Sciences, by identifying and systematizing the main discussions and definitions that took place there. The source that allowed us to address this subject was the first book of minutes of this institution, which covers the meetings held between August 1971 and August 1973. In order to organize and systematize the variety of topics treated by this organization, we propose to classify them in terms of academic, organizational, and political discussions and definitions. With this contribution, as a result, we offer a first approximation to the challenges and tensions involved in configuring and merging the university character of the new Faculty. Process that took place in a changing political context that also included the extension of the Faculty to the city of General Pico and the fight for the nationalization of the University of La Pampa.
